With the advent of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”, countless official stories, books, comics and television shows have recently been made to fans and the public alike, so that the “Star Wars” universe, and the stories that connect the main films together, can finally be known. One of those stories which bridge the gap between the main films is the Disney XD series entitled “Star Wars: Rebels”, and has just been recently renewed for a third season. Also, Taylor Gray, the voice actor of Jedi padawan Ezra Bridger, and show creator Dave Filoni, have recently come out to share some interesting information as to what fans and viewers should expect in the upcoming episodes and in the upcoming fall finale. WARNING: This article will contain spoilers for the upcoming episodes of “Star Wars: Rebels”. Read on to learn more about what will be happening to the Ghost crew.
“Star Wars: Rebels” isn’t the first animated show to bridge the gap between the main “Star Wars” films, as “Star Wars: Clone Wars” made breakthroughs with “Rebels” creator Dave Filoni, in a series that explored the Clone Wars and its politics, and closely accompanied Jedi Masters Obi-Wan Kenobi, Jedi Master Anakin Skywalker, and his young padawan, Ahsoka Tano, as they went on missions in the name of the Republic.

Now, years later, Disney XD, together with Dave Filoni and his team, managed to come up with “Star Wars: Rebels”, which centers around a ragtag yet benevolent group, who are more than happy to go against the Empire and help out in anyway that they can.
This group consists of the crew of the Ghost, piloted by Hera Syndulla (Vanessa Marshall), Sabine Wren (Tiya Sircar), Zeb Orellius (Steve Blum), Jedi Kanan Jarrus (Freddie Prinze Jr.), and his young padawan, Ezra Bridger (Taylor Gray).
This, of course, is set in between “Revenge of the Sith” and “A New Hope”, as it chronicles the beginnings of the Rebellion, whom the crew of the Ghost, later joins.
Later on, several iconic characters from the “Star Wars” mythology and from the “Clone Wars” series are introduced such as Commander Rex (Dee Bradley Baker), Ahsoka Tano (Ashely Eckstein), and Darth Vader (James Earl Jones).
Recently, Entertainment Weekly and the official website of “Star Wars” reported that the series has just been renewed for a third season, which means that fans and viewers will be able to see Ezra grow more into the Jedi he is supposed to be, and will see more about the beginnings of the Rebellion.
Also, TV Insider reported that TV Guide will be releasing a special “Star Wars: Rebels” issue, in which Dave Filoni and Taylor Gray teased and hinted at some things that will be coming soon.
According to Gray, the fate of his character’s parents will be discovered soon, and he hinted that this will greatly affect Ezra’s future.
As for the December 9, 2015 fall finale, Filoni teased that it will be “epic”, and teased that viewers and fans should look forward to the last couple of minutes of that particular episode.
