‘Star Wars’ Recap and Spoilers: Who is Sana and What to Expect in the Next Installment
MARVEL/Star Wars

Fans of the “Star Wars” universe were outraged and surprised after discovering that MARVEL’s ongoing “Star Wars” book had introduced Sana Solo, the wife of everyone’s favorite smuggler, Han Solo, who has, so far, been tagging along with the crew of the Millenium Falcon, sans Luke Skywalker, much to the annoyance of Princess Leia Organa. However, with the release of the next installment of the ongoing comic book, it has just been discovered that Han Solo’s protests and claims that Sana isn’t his wife might be true after all. WARNING: This article will contain spoilers for issues eleven and twelve of MARVEL’s ongoing “Star Wars” comic book. Read on to learn more what happened next to Luke Skywalker and the gang, and to learn about the truth regarding Han Solo’s supposed wife.

The entire “Star Wars” fandom was hit hard by the fact that MARVEL’s ongoing “Star Wars” comic book revealed that Han Solo had a wife named Sana Solo in, according to Cinema Blend, the sixth issue of the series.

However, she had been seen in the previous two issues as a bounty hunter determined to catch Han.

Princess Leia Organa, of course, did not handle this news that well and refused to listen to any of Han’s explanations on the way to rescue Luke Skywalker on Nar Shadda, which was where the twelfth installment of the series opened.

There, Chewbacca got rid of the bounty hunter Dengar. He had just captured him in order to get to Han. Meanwhile, Luke was still fighting in Garkkus the Hutt’s pit and was doing pretty badly.

Just as Luke was going to becoming dinner for the monster he was fighting, the battle was stopped by the Gamemaster. He later turned out to be Sergeant Kreel, an Imperial spy who served Darth Vader, and who had been sent there to gather up the antique Jedi collection of the greedy Grakkus.

Chaos then erupted as stormtroopers came onto the scene, who were soon joined by Chewbacca, Leia, Han, and Sana Solo.

Due to an electromagnetic pulse, everyone’s blasters were rendered useless.

Thankfully, R2-D2 managed to snatch up some lightsabers from Grakkus’ collection, which Han, Leia, Chewbacca and Luke began to wield.

However, in the confusion, Leia and Sana were separated from Han and the others, who had managed to get Luke out of harm’s way.

Leia, still wielding her saber like a natural, cut through several rocks in order to rescue Sana. She had gotten buried in a pile of rocks after the beast Luke had been fighting tried to escape the chaos and confusion.

Sana surprised that Leia had come back from her, decided to tell her the truth- that her name was Sana Starros, and that marrying Han had been part of a scam that they had done before. She then explained that she had been tracking him down as he had gone off with her cut.

The book ended with Sergeant Kreel reporting everything he knew about Luke to Darth Vader.

According to IGN, Sergeant Kreel, as the character also mentioned in the comic, is part of the 501st Legion, or an elite group of troopers called “Vader’s Fist.”

This somehow ends the current arc, and will allow for another story arc, which will be interwoven into the “Vader Down” crossover event, to begin.

According to Star Wars Comics, the thirteenth issue of MARVEL’s “Star Wars” will be released on November 25, 2015, and will be the third part in the “Vader Down” event.

They also released a sneak preview of the cover of the book, which features an ominous Darth Vader, wielding lightsabers, looming over Princess Leia.
