Off-duty Stormtroopers were spotted chatting with the crew of “Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens,” on the desert styled sets of the movie in London. As production continues for the seventh installment of “Star Wars”, are we likely to see Darth Vader in the film? Read on to find out more.
“Star Wars VII” is being helmed by J. J. Abrams, and filming is currently underway. And so the sets North London have turned by movie-magic, into vast arid deserts replete with Stormtroopers, galactic weaponry and fallen spaceship. The Daily Mail UK has the photographs, which show the Stormtroopers sharing a relaxed moment with the crew, perhaps on a break from hunting down the Jedi.
The movie reunites franchise stars Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Carrie Fisher (Leia Skywalker) and Harrison Ford (Han Solo) with newcomers John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver and Oscar Isaac.
But fans are more excited by the appearance of Darth Vader’s burnt-up helmet from the official teaser. So will the Sith lord be returning for the seventh film? Though there is no official confirmation yet, the chances are that Vader plays an ‘important role’ in “Star Wars: Force Awakens.” According to Making Star Wars, “Darth Vader is somehow in a flashback sequence from pirate Maz Kanata’s (Lupita Nyong’o) castle where Skywalker is explained to our heroes, such as Rey (Daisy Ridley) and stormtrooper Finn (Daisy Ridley),”
In the meantime, he Wrap reported that Benicio Del Toro from “Sin City” might be the villain in the next installment, “Star Wars Episode VIII. The 49-year-old “Guardians Of The Galaxy” actor is in talks with episode 7 director Rian Johnson. Del Toro won the Academy Award for best-supporting actor for his portrayal as Javier Rodiguez in 2000’s crime drama, “Traffic.”
Star Wars Episode VII hits the screens this December, whereas Episode VIII is tentatively out in 2017.
