Talking about being hot and sexy! The sizzling actor behind Oliver Queen of The CW’s “Arrow,” Stephen Amell, revealed some NSFW events during a photo shoot with Arrow’s costume on. Read on to know his hilarious story.
In Amell’s official Facebook page, the actor started his post by praising Melissa Benoist’s Supergirl photo on Twitter. He described it as “awesome” and even congratulated the staff of the upcoming TV series. Blastr recently reported that the Supergirl costume was designed by the award-winning Colleen Atwood.

Then, Amell continued to tell his story when “Arrow” just started filming. In winter 2012, the first thing he did after taking the role was fitting the costume. He shared that it was crucial to conceal the costume first in case of possible leaks. He wrote that he needed to wear an “overcoat and a fedora to avoid the paparazzi.”
After some shots, the photo was evaluated and approved. They just had to wait for the DC team to release it. Amell recalled the staff being so excited because of the cool shot. However, when the producer showed it to another cast member Katie Cassidy, who was known as Laurel Lance on “Arrow,” she easily spotted the problem (way to go, eagle eyes!) because the masculine actor seemed to look like he is having an erection!
Amell admitted being “a little TOO excited” because of the suit. Because of the boner issue, changes were done.
“And that’s the story of why first photos in the costume are important / how we ALMOST became the show about the hooded vigilante with a boner,” Amell wrote on Facebook.
Clever way to start the revelation, Oliver Queen.
In the “Arrow” promo teaser for the 16th episode on the official The CW site, Oliver takes some time considering Ra’s offer. Even people around him have something to say about it. His answer will also be declared in the upcoming episode. Meanwhile, Nyssa al Ghul (Katrina Law) cannot handle the fact that Oliver was chosen by her own father to be his successor. She starts to think that her father’s decision has something to do with her relationship with Sara Lance (Caity Lotz).
“Arrow” Season 3 airs every Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. on The CW. Catch the next episode on Mar. 18, 2015.
