“Arrow’s” very own Stephen Amell will be lending his voice to the Lego version of his iconic character, the Green Arrow, in the upcoming videogame “Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham.” Read on for further details.
An all-new DC All Access video officially unveils Green Arrow as a playable character in the much-awaited “Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham.” The Emerald Archer will be voiced none other by the Arrow himself, Stephen Amell. Amell, who’s very happy to be involved in a project that his daughter can see his work on, explains to his fans on his video to expect a lighter version of the Arrow.
The new characters unveiled alongside Green Arrow include the Lego versions of Kevin Smith, Geoff Johns and Bruce Wayne. So far, the DC characters revealed to be playable in-game include Ace the Bathound, Adam West, Alfred Pennyworth, Aquaman, Arkillo, Atom, Atroticus, Bane, Bat-cow, Bat-girl, Bat-man, Bat-mite, Beast boy, Black Adam, Black Canary, Black Manta, Bleez, Blight, Blue Beetle, Booster Gold & Skeets, Bonk, Brainiac, Cat Woman, Cheetah, Commissioner Gordon, Conan O’ Brien, Condiment King, Cyborg, Deadshot, Deathstroke, Detective Chimp, Diggle, Doomsday, Faora, Felicity Smoak, Firefly, Flash, Frankenstein, General Zod, Gorilla Grodd, Green Lantern, Green Loontern, Harley Quinn, Hawkman, Huntress, Indigo-1, Inque, Jor-El, John Stewart, The Joker, Kalibak, Killer Croc, Killer Moth, Kilowog, Krypto the Superdog, Lara, Larfleeze, Lex Luthor, Mad Hatter, Merlyn, Man-Bat, Martian Manhunter, Miss Martian, Mr. Freeze, Mr. Mxyzptlk, Music Meister, Nightwing, Penguin, Plastic Man, Polka-Dot Man, Rainbow Raider, Ra’s Al Ghul, The Riddler, Robin, Roy Harper, Saint Walker, Shazam, Billy Batson, Sinestro, Solomon Grundy, Stargirl, Star Sapphire, Superboy, Supergirl, Superman, Clark Kent, Swamp Thing, Two-Face and Wonder Woman, along with other variant of some of the characters which will total to 150 unique characters, hero and villain, from the DC comic Universe.
In celebration of Batman’s 75th year, a “Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham” season pass containing six DLCs (downloadable content) will be made available for purchase. Each pack will include a mission level for both story and free play mode, as well as new unlockable characters, vehicles, achievements and more. The said packs included in the season pass are the “Dark Knight” pack, Batman 75th Anniversary pack and “Man of Steel” pack, plus three unknown DLCs, which will be available on Nov. 11, 2014.
But it gets bigger than that as The Hollywood Reporter confirms that a “Lego” movie spin-off is in works, and it will be featuring the Dark Knight to be voiced by Will Arnet, who also voiced the Bats in “The Lego Movie.” “Lego Batman Movie” will be directed by Chris McKay, who served as animation supervisor on Lego Movie, from a script being written by author-screenwriter Seth Grahame-Smith. Roy Lee, Dan Lin, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller will be producing the pic which is reported to be pushed back for an
after 2017 release. Moreover, Warner is eyeing a 2017 release for the “Lego Movie” sequel following its Lego “Ninjago” movie, based on a Lego set of the same name, set to open on Sept. 23, 2016.
