Forty-year-old music producer Mark Ronson is considered to be one of the best-dressed men in the industry. Read on to know more about how Ronson developed his sense of style through the years.
The Hamilton Spectator reports that the “Uptown Funk” hitmaker wasn’t as stylish as he is now.
“In the beginning, when I first started wearing nice suits, in about 2007, I was psyched to finally have something nice to wear after years of just wanting to look like the Beastie Boys, wearing Pumas with fat laces and band T-shirts.” he said
“But then that can involve going a bit too far. Like wearing a bright pink suit with pink shoes. Eventually, however, you gravitate towards what you’re good at. And what you can actually pull off.” he added.
Ronson’s upgraded consciousness of how he projected himself was not initiated by a single specific incident, rather than being more of a process. He disclosed that his good friend and collaborator Amy Winehouse (He produced Winehouse’s “Back to Black”) proved to be enormously instrumental.
In an interview with the Sunday Telegraph, he said, “I really can’t remember why it happened. Even in the movie “Amy”, I’m a bit messy, slightly hungover maybe, and I’m wearing a Red Hot Chilli Peppers T-shirt that’s just a little too tight.”
“But getting involved with Amy Winehouse’s music was definitely the spark.”
Looking through his Instagram account, one could see that Ronson’s style adapts to specific occasions. Good thing he looks good, even in quirky clothing.
For sure we’ll be seeing more of the musical genius and his now impeccable sense of style.
As one of his hits say, “Don’t believe me just watch.”
