The first trailer of “Suicide Squad” had a rather unusual debut as it got leaked after it was shown at the Comic Con and Warner Bros. were not particularly happy about it. So this time around they would definitely want a proper launching platform because a second official trailer of the movie will be releasing soon.
According to The Movie Network, the second official trailer of the movie might be released soon as recently the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) is said to have classified it on Dec. 3. The trailer is said to be about 2 minutes 59 seconds long, which is only a few seconds less than the previous trailer and is about the same length as the new “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” trailer.
Provided that other movies are also aiming at releasing their trailers with or before “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” this could be a perfect opportunity for Warner Bros. to release their other ace card from their deck that promises to be unique and different than other superhero movies. Lying in the pool of releases is trailers of other movies like “X-Men: Apocalypse,” “Deadpool” and “Independence Day: Resurgence,” which are equally good movies and will have a decent audience to target.
Following how “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” and “Captain America: Civil War” released their trailer, perhaps Will Smith, Margot Robbie or Jared Leto could also make an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and give fans another look at their super villain ensemble.
Movie Web added that none of the studio has as of yet announced any release dates for their trailers but since Warner Bros. “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” released on Dec. 4, the makers might want to give at least a week’s gap before they unleash the second trailer of “Suicide Squad.” What is so unique about “Suicide Squad” is that it has villains taking on villains as opposed to the older formula of heroes taking on villains.
The movie will release next year on Aug. 5.
