Jared Leto soon will join the coveted super villain club because let’s are honest, our heroes will be out of a job if we don’t have enough villains to do their part. With the amount of dedication that the award-winning actor as put in for his role as the Joker, there are mainly two people he really wants to make proud and they are Jack Nicholson and the late Heath Ledger.
According to E! Online, Leto shared a meme with which it was pretty much clear who he wanted to impress the most. In the meme, one can see Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger’s Joker with the former’s version assuring the latter that Leto’s version will make them proud. The picture that was perfectly edited had the line written on the meme. The “Dallas Buyers Club” didn’t really say much about it but chose to put a heart emoji. With the heavily tattooed and sharply sculpted body, slick green hair, red lipstick and an extremely creepy laughter, Leto will not really have any problem making both the versions proud as fans unanimously have raised their voice in appreciation of his portrayal. In “Suicide Squad” fans are being promised a different version of the character and will be someone who apart from being a complete lunatic will also be seen as a businessman running some operations.
Time Magazine added that Jack Nicholson brought the character to life in 1989 while Heath Ledger brought the character to life in 2008. Jared Leto, an Academy award winner himself will be bringing the character to life yet again in the DC Extended Universe’s “Suicide Squad” when it releases next year in 2016. This however will not be the only time Jared gets to play the Joker because there’s a solo Batman movie, which is being planned and if by any chance the “Robin turning into Joker” rumors turn out to be true, Leto’s character will be able to show a whole new level of depth with his portrayal. “Suicide Squad” will release August 5th.
