It seems like the first few weeks of 2016 will keep Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) or Supergirl busy as things at the office and in her personal life will start to get a little bit more complicated in the tenth episode of the season. Another thing that fans can look forward to is the fact that Jeremy Jordan’s Winn Schott will be highlighted in this episode, as an unwelcome family member comes back into his life. WARNING: This article will contain spoilers for “Supergirl” Season 1 Episode 10 “Childish Things.”
Just like the good friend that she is, Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist), also known as Supergirl, will have her hands full with less heroic matters in the tenth episode of the season, according to the official CBS synopsis for the episode that was shared on Spoiler TV.
According to the synopsis, Winn Schott (Jeremy Jordan) will go through a rather difficult time after his father begins to reach out to him all of a sudden. However, Winn isn’t happy about this as his father has just recently broken out of jail, and is none other than the supervillain called Toyman (Henry Czerny).
The Toyman, Winslow Schott, Sr., according to ComicBook.com, is a genius criminal mastermind who weaponizes toys and is motivated by the thought that he will one day reunite with his son, who doesn’t seem to want to have anything to do with him.
Elsewhere, according to the synopsis, Kara’s troubles are far from over as Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart) hires Lucy Lane (Jenna Dewan-Tatum) to work for her; and Alex Danvers (Chyler Leigh) and Hank Henshaw (David Harewood), as the Martian Manhunter, will begin to go after Maxwell Lord (Peter Facinelli).
Based on this, it seems that Henshaw and Alex have a better relationship than before, and it seems that she will be doing the opposite of what she did to Kara. Instead of asking Henshaw to suppress his powers, she will be urging him on to use it for the greater good.
The addition of Lucy at CatCo will create a very interesting dynamic as it will ensure that the relationships between the main characters will become a little bit more complicated.
