Awarded with the ‘Model of the Year’ award at the British Fashion Awards twice in both 2012 and 2014, Cara Delevingne shared her views on being on the big screen and says that acting was always her ultimate goal. Delevingne, who is a famous supermodel at just the age of 22, has many credits under her name. Read on for more details.
In an interview with People, Delevingne says that her heart always beats for acting and she always dreamed of being an actress, more than anything else.
“Modeling was never a passion of mine. It wasn’t something that made my heart beat and built a fire inside of me.” Delevingne said.
The 22-year-old supermodel, who has been a face of numerous brands from Chanel to Saint Yves Laurent, has quite a few movies lined up. On July 24, 2015, her movie “Paper Town” will be releasing in which she will be playing the role of Margo. According to Delevingne, Margo is the role she loves the best as is in love with. “Paper Town” is based on John Green’s novel of the same name.
As the date of the release is coming near, she has admitted that she is feeling a bit “surreal.” Apart from romantic mystery “Paper Town,” she will also be seen in the beloved Peter Pan movie named “Pan” playing the role of a mermaid. The movie is still in pre-production and no release date has been announced as of yet.
Coming Soon recently reported that Delevingne has bagged a role in Luc Besson’s French comic adaption of “Valerian and Laureline” by Pierre Christin and artist Jean-Claude Mezieres. The movie will be named “Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets” and Delevingne and Dane DeHaan will be playing the main character of Valerian and Laureline.
The film will be financed, produced and distributed by Virginie Besson Silla on behalf of EuropaCorp. Luc Besson will be directing and writing the project “Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.”
