From Sept.  24, 2014 nine pairs will vie on “Survivor: San Juan del Sur.” Similarly to “Survivor: Blood vs.,”  Water, the season features pairs of loved ones contending against each other but, unlike Blood vs. Water, all of the players are new.  However, you may see some recognizable faces from other shows, like ‘The Amazing Race.” The cast includes nine pairs of loved ones, with relationships including parent-child, siblings, and partners (both married and dating)

According to CBS, some Controversial Contestants are also there in 29th season and may further boost the TRP of the reality show. John Rocker, 39, a former Atlanta Braves pitcher who was extensively condemned for his comments about minorities in a 1999 “Sports Illustrated,” interview. Rocker will compete with his girlfriend, Julie McGee, a model who owns a spray tan business. Nadiya and Natalie Anderson, 28-year-old twin sisters earlier participated in two seasons of “The Amazing Race,” will together compete in “Survivor: San Juan del Sur.”

Here’s who will be competing in San Juan del Sur, a region on the southwest coast of Nicaragua.

Dale Wentworth & Kelley Wentworth: father & daughter
Dale, 55, is a farmer from Ephrata, Washington, and is 28-year-old daughter, Kelley is a marketing manager from Seattle. Dale is the oldest competitor.

Drew Christy & Alec Christy: brothers
Alec, 22, and Drew, 25 are brothers from Winter Park, Georgia. One can assume they’ll be the heartthrobs on the island with their classic long hair and abs.

Val Collins & Jeremy Collins: husband & wife
Val, 35, and Jeremy, 36, are from Foxboro, Massachusetts. He’s a former pro football player and now a firefighter, while she’s a police officer. Talk about a power couple.

John Rocker & Julie McGee: dating
John, 39, is a former pitcher for the Atlanta Braves who was under hot water in ’99 after making comments about minorities in Sports Illustrated. His girlfriend, Julie, 34, is a model and owner of a spray tan business. The two live in Georgia.

Jaclyn Schultz & John Misch: college sweethearts
Jaclyn, 25, was crowned Miss USA in 2013, while John, 26, played football at Michigan State University. (A match made in reality show heaven.)

Josh Canfield & Reed Kelly: dating
Josh, 32, and Reed, 31, are both actors from New York City. Reed works on Broadway and has starred in huge shows like Wicked and Spider-Man.

Baylor Wilson & Missy Payne: mother & daughter
Baylor, 20, is a competitive cheerleader who won the Cheerleading World Championship in 2009. Her mother Missy, 47, (not surprisingly) owns a competitive cheerleading gym. The mother and daughter reside in Dallas, and let’s just say, their bodies may be their best weapon.

Nadiya Anderson & Natalie Anderson: sisters
Nadiya and Natalie are 28-year-old twins who you probably know from The Amazing Race as the usually bickering sisters. However, they’re in extremely good shape as they work as Crossfit coaches in their downtime.

Wes Nale & Keith Nale: father & son
Keith, 53, is a fire captain from Shreveport, Louisiana while his son Wes, 23, is a firefighter. With Keith being one of the oldest competitors, we’re eager to see how he’ll work with such a young lad.
