It looks like Taylor Swift’s not the only one trademarking her lyrics as a convicted child pornographer claims that Swift stole his life story for Swift’s “1989” album. Crazy or what? Read on to learn more about this scoop.
Swift went from country to pop in her latest album, “1989,” and it has become such a huge hit that she even became the first female singer to gain a back-to-back top spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 with her songs, “Shake It Off” and “Blank Space.” But is it true that Swift got her inspiration for her “1989” album from a convicted child pornographer?
According to Radar Online, Jose Hilario, who was convicted for child pornography, is asking for $100 million from Swift after allegedly stealing his life story as inspiration for the singer-songwriter’s album.
“My heart hurts,” says Hilario, who also claims that he has already suffered so much humiliation. According to Hilario, 18-year-old Swift e-mailed him in January 2008 and asked him to meet her via Skype. Hilario claims that Swift begged him because “she was lonely and sad that she needed someone to chat with.”
Hilario even said that he found Swift “very strange” but gave her a chance. The inmate claims that they talked for over two months and after that, Swift asked to meet him at a Rhode Island mall on April 13, 2008. According to Hilario, he and Swift hugged and kissed each other, and the singer-songwriter even promised to help him with his legal problems.
Hilario claims that he knows that Swift has a good heart and will keep the promise she made to him years ago. He even quoted what he allegedly told Swift during their meet up at the mall: “think of the color yellow and remember your friend who will protect you from the unknowns of this world.” He also said that he will drop all charges if Swift will keep her promise to help him with his legal issues.
Oh, and he even asks Swift to introduce him to Miley Cyrus. Yikes!
Hilario pleaded guilty of child pornography charges after being arrested for illegal possession of a photo of a “minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct.” Hilario will serve his sentence until May 2019.
