From the successful “Teen Beach Movie,” of Disney Channel comes to a more exciting and bigger teen beach musical sequel, “Team Beach Movie 2.” Ross Lynch and Maia Mitchell reunites with their original roles in a much-awaited movie this summer.
The returning movie picks up from months after Brady (Lynch) and McKenzie (Mitchell) return from Wet Side Story and get a visit from the characters from the said 1960s beach party movie. It was a surprise seeing Lela (Grace Phipps), Tanner (Garrett Clayton) and other friends in the real world but they might be stuck with it. Before it’s too late, they should come up with a plan to help their friends to go back to their 1960s word.
The original film had an overwhelming response last year being on the list of Disney Channel’s most-watched telepics and ranked second to “High School Musical 2.” We are excited to head back to the beach and continue the fantastic story with great music, nice and colorful fashion. The sunny beach. Who wouldn’t be thrilled to go back to the world of sing and dance beach wars?
The soundtrack album of the first movie was also a hit. Thus, the soundtrack of “Teen Beach 2 Movie” is also much-awaited and is coming out on June 19, few days in advance on the movie’s premier on June 23. In the semi-final episode of “Dancing with the Stars,” the cast of “Teen Beach 2” performed “Gotta Be Me” to promote their new movie.
The sequel was filmed in Puerto Ricco and from the director and choreographer of the original movie, Jeffrey Hornaday makes a comeback in “Teen Beach 2.” The story writers are Dan Berendsen and Robert Horn.
