“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2” is a revival for the former kids who grew up loving the four city heroes and a new set of protagonists for the kids of the present generation. There must be the proper balance between it and one of the ways to make it possible is by tapping the participation of a great actor or actress like Laura Linney. In her latest interview, she opens up her experience about filming it.
According to Screen Rant which conducted the interview, the opportunity for Linney to be included in the movie is all in her favor.
Linney explained, “I didn’t seek it out. It came to me. And it took me a minute to sort of think about it. And t I watched the first one and those turtles are just fantastic. And it was filming here in the city. And I now have a little boy. And it all just sort of fell into place, and I just thought why not.”
The actress now has her own child, as mentioned by The Hollywood Reporter. It is very fortunate that the filming location is near her home as she would prioritize her child first. She takes on the role of the bureau chief of organized crime for the Big Apple and it was her own acting style that brought life to her character.
The “TMNT” actress revealed, “No one has told me how to play it. The writing is very clear when there’s moments of this and when there’s moments of that. But I think it has a sort of tenor all its own, as it has to be when there are giant turtles on the screen with you. So I think there is sort of a fine line. There’s stuff that happens–there are things at stake in this movie. So you can’t play it too comedically, and at the same time you can’t play it too seriously….”
“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2” will be in cinemas on June 3, 2016.
