“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of The Shadows” officially released its first trailer and its crazier than before. Returning in the main cast are the four brothers, April O’Neil played by Megan Fox in addition to Stephen Amell’s Casey Jones, Shredder and his two goons.
According to Cinema Blend, a sequel to the movie was expected since “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” surprisingly scored well at the box office despite some criticism from loyal fans. This movie has some classic characters from the TMNT franchise as they light up the silver screen with their jokes and screen presence.
To begin with there’s Bebop and Rocksteady, the two goons, who have been a regular adversary of the turtles, will be doing the same in the movie as well. One can get a good look at the Turtles who now no longer live in the shadows, hence the new title of the movie gets justified there. The movie, which was earlier titled “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Half Shell” sees the turtles talking calmly to the Police Chief as they mention their love for New York City and how they want to keep the city safe.
As far as the villain is concerned, we get a rather more human look at the Shredder who has let go of the metallic Samurai armor and looks like he will be able to move more quickly in a battle with the turtles. Megan Fox on her part does what she does the best, as she adds a little glamor in the movie and brings with her some investigative skills. Stephen’s Casey Jones too will have a different origin story in the movie, as he helps out the Turtles and rather makes Mike more jealous while talking to April.
Comicbook.com added that the trailer has hit before its expected release date and will be bringing back a lot of familiar material like the Turtle van with this movie.
“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of The Shadows” will release next year on June 3rd.
