Television has gathered millions in common leisure pursuit. Who doesn’t love a good laugh while watching you favorite TV series or feel dreadful because your favorite character was killed? The list below is a compilation of the best series the TV industry has produced.
- Lost (2004–2010)
Created by Damon Lindelof, Jeffrey Lieber and J. J. Abrams, “Lost” is about a group of plane crash survivors who were stranded on a remote island in the Pacific. This clever series is like a fusion of Twin Peaks and Swiss Family Robinson, where the survivors have to fight their own fears to stay alive.
- Breaking Bad (2008–2013)
The series follows Walter White, a chemistry teacher who turned into a drug manufacturer and seller. White and his student began selling and making methamphetamine after being diagnosed with Stage III cancer. His desire to provide for his family after he dies made White a legend in the drug trade.
- Prison Break (2005–2009)
In order to save his brother from the death row, Michael Scofield admitted himself to the Fox River Penitentiary with a planned a break out. Scofield’s brother, Lincoln Burrows was convicted for the murder of the Vice President’s brother. The two broke out from the prison along with other convicts.
- Sex and the City (1998–2004)
The sitcom is about four Manhattan bachelorettes — Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha — who share their experiences as New York single ladies with each other including their sex escapades.
- Star Trek (1966–1969)
This phenomenal sci-fi series tells the story of the Starship Enterprise crew sent by the United Federation of Planets on a five-year mission to explore the galaxy. The crew of 143 individuals include Captain James T. Kirk, Mr. Spock and Dr. Leonard McCoy set out to battle aliens, galactic murders and criminals.
- Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997–2003)
Buffy Summers, the destined vampire slayer, along with her friends was called “The Scooby Gang.” In the series, the gang has shown the challenges one need to face in order to grow up, which include killing demons and vampires and going to school.
- The Sopranos (1999–2007)
This dark comedy adult drama is about Tony Soprano, a New Jersey gangster and his affairs with his family, work and the interesting moments during his therapy sessions.
- The X-Files (1993–2002)
The show is about the experiences of FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully in investigating paranormal cases and mysteries in US government.
- Friends (1994–2004)
The rom-com show is about the adventures of six friends struggling to find success in the city of Manhattan. The characters include Rachel Green, Monica Gellar, Ross Gellar, Phoebe Buffay, Chandler Muriel Bing and Joey Tribbiani.
- The Simpsons (1989– Present)
The show is about the adventures of Homer and his family in the city of Springfield. With its long list of awards and nominations, there is no doubt that The Simpsons is the best TV show of all time. The show was even has its own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
