It was definitely a surprise – especially to Bollywood – when something like “Tere Bin Laden,” which was a low-budget film, became a hit in 2010. Well, it is a no-brainer if director Abhishek Sharma opts to write the film’s sequel along with actor Pradhuman Singh since the original film proved to be a success. But the sequel, titled “Tere Bin Laden: Dead or Alive” is going to be a bit different, as it features the prominent US President Barack Obama this time around.
The first film “Tere Bin Laden” took the industry by storm, as low-budget films are rarely seen in the Movie A-List nowadays. And since it proves to have the required potentials, director Abhishek Sharma is now working on the sequel entitled “Tere Bin Laden: Dead or Alive,” as reported by The Times of India. The forthcoming installment is said to orbit around the notable political figure, Barack Obama, the first African-American US President.
The writer-director, along with his reel-partner Osama Bin Laden, Pradhuman Singh, has found the perfect actor to play President Obama in the name of Iman Crosson, a well-known American rapper-comedian. The YouTube personality, Iman, 33, is a self-proclaim ghostwriter for the President. He is known for rapping President Obama’s speeches, and regardless of how stern they are, he always incorporate humor on them.
BusinessOfCinema.com said that Abhishek Sharma and his team got to meet Iman in Mumbai. From there, they shot him with a large set of Abbottabad, recreating the rap and the speech. It is worth noting that Iman has already been invited to the White House twice, as President Barack Obama himself appreciates the rapper-comedian’s mimicry. It should not be a surprise that the US President has knowledge about Iman’s character in the forthcoming “Tere Bin Laden: Dead or Alive.”
Iman Crossnon, who is also known as Alphacat on YouTube, will play the role of President Barrack Obama while Pradhuman Singh will reprise his role as Osama Bin Laden. Adding to the cast member is Sikander Kher, who will play the role of a white CIA Agent David Do Something. Kher’s character will reportedly be funny in a sense that he keeps on misleading the President.
Whether or not President Barack Obama will watch the comedy flick “Tere Bin Laden: Dead or Alive,” it surely will bring a new kind of humor in the big screen. The movie is slated for release come February 26, 2016.
