“Terminator Genisys” can be stamped with success, if we look at the numbers that totals to more than four hundred million dollars in international and domestic markets. However, there is another side of the story with these numbers and they indicate that the producers may not get the success they are looking for with a sequel of “Terminator Genisys.”
According to vcpost.com, the same is the case with the planned TV show along with the sequel for “Terminator Genisys.” Critics from Forbes are of the view that “Terminator Genisys” cannot be called a hit; therefore, there is no surety of doing a sequel.
Even though the movie earned almost twice as much as was spent on it, but, critics have differing opinion about the movie. It is also seen that there is a sharp fall in the number of people walking down to watch the movie both in the international and domestic market.
On the opening day in China, the movie scored a rattling twenty-seven million dollars, but this figure did not moved much in the next 2 weeks. This means that even after a magnanimous opening the movie failed miserably in the subsequent days. Things with “Terminator Genisys” were considerably different from “Transformers: Age of Extinction,” which accumulated thirty million dollars on its first day and went on to amass more than three hundred million dollars in total.

With all said and done, the returns were considerable for the movie at the box-office. According to moviepilot.com, “Terminator Genisys” is one of those home productions that were saved because of its performance in overseas market. However, the movie did not left anything for the audience to wonder upon and there is slim chance that they will want to return back for a sequel.
