The 19th Art Directors Guild Excellence in Production Design Awards Nominees Announced [WATCH VIDEO]

The Art Directors Guild has announced nominees for the group’s 19th annual awards. “American Sniper,” “Birdman,” “The Imitation Game,” “Inherent Vice” and “Unbroken” are among the nominees for the Art Directors Guild’s Excellence in Production Design awards. Last year’s feature film awards winner was “The Great Gatsby” for period, “Gravity” for fantasy and “Her” for contemporary. Notable fact is “The Great Gatsby” went on to win the Oscar for production design. Conceivably one of the more unexpectedly absent nominees is “Maleficent.”

The guild represents 2,300 industry people like Production Designers, Art Directors, Set Designers, Model Makers and Artists of various kinds (Scenic, Title, Matte, etcetera)

The winners will be announced on Jan. 31, 2015 at the 19th annual ceremony at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in a black tie ceremony. Check out some of the nominees below.
