The 72nd Annual Golden Globes was held at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015. The event recognized the best of television and movies from 2014. Amy Poehler and Tina Fey kicked off the 72nd annual Golden Globe awards with an entertaining opening monologue. Read on for further details.

“Boyhood,” “Transparent,” Eddie Redmayne and Julianne Moore were the big winners at the 72nd annual Golden Globes. Richard Linklater’s 12-years-in-the-making “Boyhood” has won the night’s Top Honor, Best Drama, as well as Best Director for Linklater and Best Supporting Actress for Patricia Arquette.

Meanwhile, Australia’s only hope at the ceremony Frances O’Connor lost to Maggie Gyllenhaal. Gyllenhaal won the Best Actress in a Miniseries or TV Movie trophy for her work in “The Honorable Woman.”

The gala was full of Hollywood’s A-list gorgeous ladies and dapper gentlemen. The splendid evening has seen some great fashion, golden statues and some jokes from Fey and Poehler. George Clooney received the Golden Globes’ Cecil B DeMille award for lifetime achievement.
