In the May 11, 2014 episode of “The Amazing Race: All Stars,” the final four teams Dave and Connor (Father/Son), Caroline and Jennifer (Country Singers), Brendon and Rachel (Newlyweds) and Leo and Jamal (Cousins) scored great goals, learned Welsh poetry and faced shooting or booting. The final four teams competed for a chance to finish in the top three spots and to reach the finale to hopefully, win “The Amazing Race” (TAR). Read on for MNG’s “The Amazing Race 24” a.k.a. “The Amazing Race: All-Stars” recap of “Hei Ho Heidi Ho” Leg 11 Spain to United Kingdom.

TAR “Hei Ho Heidi Ho” Leg 11 Spain to United Kingdom Recap:

Dave and Connor came out on top, landing in first place and in the finals. They also have won a free luxury trip to Fiji.  Caroline and Jen are placed second.  Brendon and Rachel or “Brenchel” came out as team number three. Unfortunately cousins Leo and Jamal were eliminated from the competition in Leg 11 Spain to United Kingdom. It’s interesting to note that they also finished 4th place in “The Amazing Race 23,” in 2013, wherein they first participated.

“The Amazing Race 24” a.k.a. “The Amazing Race: All-Stars” started  with Dave and Connor who flew off from Madrid to London, England. Upon arriving there, they drove to Liverpool in a Ford Focus. Then, they played soccer in Liverpool and got their subsequent clue on what to do next. “Brenchel,” Leo and Jamal and Jen and Caroline left right after them.

Once all the TAR teams arrived in United Kingdom, the games took place! After they completed the soccer game, they marked out the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct  for their next clue.

Leo and Jamal got lost, so they chose to stop for directions. While crossing the canal, the teams learned “Hei Ho Heidi Ho,” a brief Welsh verse which they performed towards the end. It was hard to learn.  The teams of Connor and Jamal struggled with the poem, while Brenchel breezed through it.

Then, the teams had to choose for their Detour if they want to Shoot It or Boot It.

  • SHOOT IT:

Shoot down terracotta clay pigeons with a 12 gauge shot gun

  • BOOT IT:

Choose a size 9 or 11 Wellington boot, fill them with water or toss them to the finish line.

Finishing either one of the task resulted in getting the teams to the next clue. Both detours were absolutely entertaining to watch.  After completion of the Detour, the teams must head to Peckforton Castle for the next pit stop, with the hopes of getting there first and not getting eliminated by being the last ones to arrive.

Brenchel struggled with the Boot It Detour because they had the wrong size. Rachel is all sorts of panic-stricken.

For the first time, since the beginning of “The Amazing Race 24” a.k.a. “The Amazing Race: All Stars,” the rival teams treated this Leg (“Hei Ho Heidi Ho” Leg 11 Spain to United Kingdom) like they were in a competition for a million dollars. Nobody got into useless arguments and fights and all the teams were just focused on the game.

And that’s it for MNG’s “The Amazing Race 24” a.k.a. “The Amazing Race: All-Stars” recap of “Hei Ho Heidi Ho” Leg 11 Spain to United Kingdom. Don’t miss “The Amazing Race: All Stars” finale “Do You Believe in Magic?” Leg 12 (United Kingdom → United States) on May 18, 2014 only at CBS.
