Mark Ruffalo, who is world famous to portray the role of Dr. Bruce Banner aka The Hulk in “The Avengers” and in most recently in “The Avengers: Age of Ultron,” will be honoured at the Giffoni Film Festival. The 47-year-old American actor will have an onstage conversation with the kids from 52 different countries who, in fact, are the jury of the film Awards.
Giffoni Film Festival is described as a cinema for young people. Over the years, Giffoni has been launched in different countries and Hollywood actors like, Meryl Streep, Nicolas Cage, Jessica Alba has been a part of it.
The Giffoni Film Festival that usually that got its name from a small village in Salerno, Giffoni Valle Piana was started by Claudio Gubitosi in 1971 with an idea of promoting and developing cinema for the children. The first edition of the films that screened in the film festival were characterized by limited budgets.
Also in the recent news by The Hollywood Reporter, film festival is launching its own Multimedia Valley and with an estimated space of around 400,000 square feet, the new Giffoni centre will help in fostering creativity and culture for the children in Southern Valley.
Ruffalo is currently working with Thomas McCarthy in his next American drama film, “Spotlight.” It is scheduled to release later in this year.
