One of 2012’s most interesting musical movies makes their comeback on the big screen two years later. “Pitch Perfect 2,” along with its main acapella singers-The Barden Bella’s, is ready to run the world. Read on to know more about the details of this preview.
A lot of people didn’t really expect how much of a hit “Pitch Perfect” will be when it was released back in 2012. Reaching over $113 million in the Worldwide Box Office from a $17 million production budget, it’s very much obvious that a second installment of the film will be made. “Pitch Perfect 2” will be back in theaters with more music and funny sequences.
The latest “Pitch Perfect 2” trailer presents how tough the competitions are going to be for the Barden Bellas and they will be going head to head with an international team, the European Champs and they are all ready to get their aca-fighting on. The movie promises the feel of last moments to look back to, especially for the all-girl singing group. And, of course, snide and funny lines are inserted every step of the 2-minute, 22-second trailer. It even ended with their upbeat and catchy rendition of Beyonce’s “Run the World.”
Here is the official synopsis as posted in First Showing:
Pitch Perfect 2 is directed by Elizabeth Banks (star of Pitch Perfect, making her feature directorial debut) and written by Kay Cannon (Pitch Perfect, “30 Rock,” “New Girl“) This time the Barden Bellas (Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Brittany Snow and more joined by new faces like Hailee Steinfeld) are competing in the World Championships of A Capella, an event that only happens every four years, and no America team has ever won. Skylar Astin, Ben Platt, Adam DeVine and even Anna Camp from the first film are back too, with some new groups taking the stage.
“Pitch Perfect 2” opens in theaters on May 15, 2015.
