“The Bastard Executioner” is a forthcoming American historical fiction drama television that will tell the story of a warrior knight (Lee Jones) in King Edward I’s charge. It was previously broken by the ravages of war and vows to lay down his sword. But when things do not go according to his plan or vows, and the darkness again surrounds him, he will be forced to pick up the bloodiest sword of all. Read on.
Sutter, who is the showrunner and creator of the upcoming series, also posted a picture on Instagram with the caption, “New Writers. New Show. New Mistakes.”
Sutter is all set to bring his “Sons of Anarchy” director/executive producer Paris Barclay for his new FX drama “The Bastard Executioner.” Barclay will direct and will also serve as an executive producer for the pilot. Not only this, Sutter’s wife, Katey Sagal has also confirmed that she will have a role in the pilot episode of the series.
Ed Sheeran in “The Bastard Executioner”:
According to The Hollywood Reporter, England’s best-loved musician Ed Sheeran is all set to make the transition from singing to acting in “The Bastard Executioner.” The 24-year-old star has been cast as deadly Sir Cormac in Sutter’s upcoming drama on FX.

- Lee Jones:
Lee Jones plays the lead, tall, dark and imposing Wilkin Brattle. He is emotionally deep and spiritually tortured former knight. He is in King Edward I’s charge who now lives in agrarian.
- Stephen Moyer:
Stephen Moyer plays the street-smart and noble Milus Corbett. He is among the Ventris’ marshals in the army.
- Kurt Sutter:
Kurt Sutter is The Dark Mute: Mate and guardian of Annora and he rarely speaks and no one has ever seen his face.
The principal photography of the series will begin in the United Kingdom this month. The all-star ensemble includes “Sons of Anarchy” Katey Segal and “True Blood” cast member Stephen Moyer. The medieval drama will hit TV screens this autumn.
