In Season 8, Episode 13 “The Anxiety Optimization” (air date: Jan. 29, 2015), Sheldon (Jim Parsons) asked his friends to increase his level of anxiety. He realized that his work environment has become too perfect because it has inhibited his ability to think and produce effective results. He became obsessed with this that eventually he started losing sleep and forgot about eating, bathing or changing clothes. Amy (Mayim Bailik) had to kick him out of her apartment. Penny (Kaley Cuoco) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) took him back and forced him to sleep. Penny sang his favorite lullaby song. Sheldon woke up that morning, refreshed and back to normal.
Meanwhile, Howard (Simon Helberg) invented a game called “Emily or Cinnamon.” They had the guys guess who Raj (Kuyal Nunnar) was referring to when he’s trying to speak to either his girlfriend or dog. Raj should be embarrassed as it looked like he treats both “bitches” as equals. When he learned that Emily doesn’t mind this at all, he no longer got bothered about the silly game.
