Know the finalists in the new episode of “The Biggest Loser” Season 16 Episode 17 “Semi-Finals,” which aired last Jan. 22, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. on NBC.

The episode kicks off with Bob Harper introducing the Lifestyle & Fitness Correspondent of “Today” show Jenna Wolfe. The pregnant fitness expert wants to inspire the contestants of working out without gym equipment. She emphasizes that there will be no reason for them to skip exercise back home just because of lack of equipment.

Trainers Bob, Dolvett Quince, Jessie Pavelka and Jennifer Widerstrom sweat it out with the contestants in the gym. Despite being pregnant, Jenna is intensely exercising as well. Gym tools are all around them, but the contestants do not use a single equipment.

Alison Sweeney gathers the contestants on a large field. She starts to explain the upcoming physical challenge. The contestants must race inside the large stadium. They have to run on countless stairs. They have to stop at 16 different checkpoints scattered around the stadium. They must throw a weight strapped on themselves to every stopover. The first player to cross the goal line is the winner. The prizes are one-pound advantage during the weigh-in and $5,000. The total amount of weights they will carry from the start is based on the total weight they lost throughout the competition so far.

Toma wins the challenge.

The trainers are with the contestants to watch an inspiring video. After a montage of their journey so far in the show, messages from their previous selves from the start of the competition are shown.

Before the weigh-in, the contestants have another intense work out session to lose more weight.

It is time for the final weigh-in on the ranch. The contestants must avoid the red lineToma’s previous weight is 202 pounds, and his current weight is 199 pounds resulting to a mere three-pound loss. Jessie comforts Toma that he managed to get out of the 200-pound zone.

On the other hand, Rob is having a better time with a monster 13-pound loss from his previous weight of 315 pounds with the current 302 pounds.

Woody’s fate in the weigh-in is similar to Toma’s because he only has four-pound loss with the current 270 pounds from the previous 274 pounds. However, he is satisfied that he reached semi-finals.

Sonya is safe with her current 163 pounds from the previous 169 pounds, which resulted to six-pound loss.

Rob has 4.13 percent total weight loss, Sonya, 3.55 percent, Toma, 1.98 percent and Woody, 1.46 percent. That means, Woody is eliminated.
