“The Blacklist” Season 2 will return on NBC on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015, at 9:00 p.m., with Season 2 Episode 9 “Robert Grady,” before moving to an all new time slot on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015, with Season 2 Episode 10 “Luther Braxton” at 9:00 p.m. Spoiler TV has posted some exclusive tidbits as to what to expect in the next two episodes which will serve as the show’s winter premiere. TV Line recently published a broader picture of the excitement, and on the questions that would get answered in the second half of the season. Read on for further details.
According to TV Line, “The Blacklist” will kick-off with a two-episode event on Feb. 1 and on Feb. 5, 2015. Show creator Jon Bokenkamp has stated that the rest of the season will deal with Federal Bureau of Investigation Agent Harold Cooper’s (Harry Lennix) grim diagnosis and how it affects everyone from his personal life up to his work.
Bokenkamp shared that it will be more cinematic and will provide answers to questions with regards to the relationship and connection between Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Agent Elizabeth “Liz” Keen (Megan Boone) and criminal mastermind Raymond “Red” Reddington (James Spader). Aside from that, much of Liz’s past will come into play, and a new Big Bad, in the person of Ron Perlman, will be added to the drama.
Meanwhile, according to Spoiler TV, Episode 9’s bad guy of the week will not seem to be a threat at first, but the team will later realize that Robert Grady is more of a threat than they thought he would be, a development that Red will not like at all. It will also be explained what “The Fulcrum” is and its significance. The Fulcrum is the one thing that The Decemberist, Alan Fitch (Alan Alda), believed that Red had that gave him the advantage over him and his group. However, in this episode, it will be seen that someone unexpected holds it instead of Red — Liz. This episode will also highlight the fire that had changed everything for Liz when she was a child, a hostage situation and the crime scene photos from the night that Red disappeared will be shown.
Moreover, the episode will focus on Luther Braxton and the hunt for The Fulcrum. Along the way, as Braxton is also looking for it, one character in the show will be able to correctly figure out where it really is. This episode will also feature Liz’s parents and how they are connected to everything that is happening at the moment and to Red.
