The movie that gave clap-clap a traumatic reputation, production of “The Conjuring” will be releasing a spinoff movie entitled “Annabelle.” Read further to learn more about this story.
Looking at the ragged, used up doll that was enclosed in a glass casing in “The Conjuring,” it gave a heap of creeps to its viewers despite the fact that it was only given seconds worthy of camera exposure. Because of such popular reaction, the productions of Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema decided to make a movie spinoff that is centered on the doll.
According to Variety, “Annabelle” is being overseen by Peter Safran and “The Conjuring” director James Wan. The title of the film was inspired by the haunted doll in the movie that was part of the demonic collection assembled by paranormal investigators, Ed and Lorraine Warren, who were effectively brought to the silver screen by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga.
For now, there isn’t really any concrete plot on the spinoff film, but the production assured a different set of casts to lead the movie. It is headed, and quite coincidentally, by “Tudors” star Annabelle Wallis, Ward Horton, Eric Ladin, Alfre Woodard and Brian Howe. The script is also penned by Gary Dauberman, who is known for his creative work in the movie “Swamp Devil.”
“The Conjuring” was the 2013 horror blockbuster that earned $318 million worldwide and was created based on the true-to-life journeys of supernatural investigators, Ed and Lorraine Warren. On that note, there are some speculations that the film will be based on the real-life event that allegedly took place in the presence of the doll.
Based on the story presented by Badass Digest, the evil-possessed doll was given a scarier makeover for the film. This was all for the reason of accentuating the disturbing features of the doll. In reality, the real-life doll was just the average old and scathed Raggedy Ann doll.
It was originally owned by a girl named Donna in the 1970s. Her mom bought it for her at a vintage hobby shop. At that time, Donna was a college student who was living with her roommate named Angie. Initially, the doll looked nothing special, but overtime, a series of unexplained events occurred which caused them to take matters on a serious note.

Meanwhile, production for a sequel to the “The Conjuring” is also going on a roll as the creators promise that the movie will be available in 2015. Looks like the upcoming horror movie, “Annabelle,” could well be another story that will keep its viewers wary of their own dolls. “Annabelle”is set to be released in theaters on October 3, 2015.
