There’s a new remake coming and this involves teenage witches and manon invocation. Sounds familiar? Well, yes, “The Craft” is going to have a remake!
With this news, it is now the latest film to get a remake from Hollywood. Sony is planning to remake the 1996 thriller “The Craft,” which starred Fairuza Balk, Neve Campbell, Rachel True and Robin Tunney. It became an instant cult classic and it is one of the films that up until today, will never be forgotten and viewers will always be up to watch it.
To refresh your memory, “The Craft” revolves around the lives of four teenage girls who got involved in witchcraft. At first, they do it purely for fun but doing some crazy witchy like turning guys into their slaves until one of them turned dark and got consumed by the power of witchcraft that things started to go downhill for the rest of the girls.
Sony has hired Leigh Janiak to direct the new version of “The Craft.” She is known for the 2014 film “The Honeymoon.”
This is going to be really exciting! “The Craft” has been a message to girls their age during the 90’s. It was so relatable, which makes it unforgotten until now. And if they plan to recast, I would definitely have Balk reprise her role as Nancy again! She portrayed the big bad witch really well!
So far, only minor details have been revealed. For sure, in the near future we will hear more about their plans on the remake.
