According to Time, it’s a good day to be a part of The CW. The network has just renewed eight of their shows for the 2015-2016 season. Is your favorite series included? Read on to learn more about it.
Time reported that The CW President Mark Pedowitz has announced the renewal of following series:
- “Arrow” for Season 4
- “Jane the Virgin” for Season 2
- “Reign” for Season 3
- “Supernatural” for Season 11
- “The 100” for Season 3
- “The Flash” for Season 2
- “The Originals” for Season 3
- “The Vampire Diaries” for Season 7
“Each of these series have helped define what The CW is today a network that is home to smart, provocative, quality programming, targeting a savvy adult audience. By picking up these shows now, our executive producers can start planning next season’s storylines, and rolling these shows out throughout next season guarantees The CW will have more proven original series for our fall, midseason and summer 2016 lineups,” Pedowitz said in the Time article.
This is such great news as these shows are definitely some of the best TV series last year and continuing this year means that it’s going to be so much better. There’s a lot to look forward to this year until 2016, and they are definitely doing such a great job.
You might have noticed that “Hart of Dixie” isn’t on the renewed TV series list. There have been some speculations that the current season of the show will be its last. However, it hasn’t be confirmed yet.
“We’re going to look at the ratings. We’ll get an opportunity to see how it plays with ‘Jane the Virgin.’ If it ends, a great series finale; if it doesn’t end, it’s a great season finale. But we’re not committed one way or another,” Pedowitz added.
