The return of “The Flash” is almost upon us but before anything else, the show has a surprise for its fans. What is it? Read below for the full details.

The CW made sure that the anticipation is worth it and to do that, they decided to throw in a new villain that will make Barry Allen’s life even more interesting. Liam McIntyre (“Spartacus”) has been tapped to play a villainous role in the series. McIntyre will take on the role of Weather Wizard or Mark Mardon. His role will be as the “brother of Clyde Mardon, the first Weather Wizard.”

McIntyre will appear in the 15th and 16th episode of The CW series. He is also the latest and fifth “Spartacus” actor to join the cast of “The Flash” and “Arrow.”

In the original comic book series, it is really McIntyre’s character that plays the main wizard while Mark’s brother is his minority. Weather Wizard is one of the members of the Rogue. When fans see Mark in “The Flash,” he will return to the Central City for his brother in “The Flash.” His powers are very much the same like his brother’s and he will track down Detective Joe West, his brother’s killer. There’s going to be a lot of trouble in Central City now.

Fans can also anticipate the coming of other villains such as Heat Wave played by Dominic Purcell, Pied Piper played by Andy Mientus and Golden Glider played by Peyton List. There’s also a possibility that we will get to take a peek of Clyde.

“The Flash” will return on Jan. 20, 2015 on The CW.
