“The Fosters” left everyone with their hearts broken after season 2 ended with Jesus, Mariana and Ana in a tragic car accident. As seen on the last episode (read recap here), it was Jesus’ side of the car, which crashed into the other car. This has led many fans to speculate that Jesus ends up dead, especially after its actor, Jake Austin bid his fans farewell on Twitter following the season two finale of the ABC Family series.
Some fans, however, could not accept the fact that Jesus would end up dead, especially when things were going so well between him, Mariana, Ana, and their grandparents. Bustle noted that others believed that Austin was leaving the show, but Jesus remains alive in the series and has only gone to boarding school.
“The Fosters” season 3 will premiere with an episode titled, “Wreckage.” The episode is expected to pick up right where season 2 ended with the tragic accident. Now that Jesus is out of the series, how will Mariana and the rest of the Fosters cope with their loss (if Jesus really dies)?
Aside from this fatal accident, there remains Lena’s blossoming romance with Monte. Last episode, Lena was opening up about her feelings of adopting Ana’s baby and its effects on her marriage to Monte. The latter suddenly reacts by kissing her. Will Lena fall into an affair with Monte or will this push her into breaking her marriage with Stef?
