The Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG) were held in Los Angeles on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015. The SAG awards honor both the work of individual performers and cast ensemble. They’re awarded by the members of the Screen Actors Guild‐American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA). The superlative American screen acting union hand out honors to recognize outstanding performances in film and primetime television. They have more voters than almost any other award-giving bodies. “Birdman” was the big winners at the 21st Screen Actors Guild Awards, winning the SAG Award for cast in a motion picture. “Downton Abbey” won the top television awards for ensemble in a drama series and “Orange Is the New Black” for ensemble in a comedy series.
