A new image from “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2,” featuring a fierce looking Katniss Everdeen is released online on the franchise’s official teaser site. A short teaser video of the film is also released on Twitter. Read to more details.
According to a post in the Nerd Bastards blog, the film franchise has released a new promotional photo for the newest installment of the series on their official teaser site.
The photo portrays Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) dressed completely in red while sitting in a chair owned by President Snow in the Capitol. Her arrows were also seen placed behind her. The photo is accompanied with the text, “The Capitol Must Fall So We May Be Free.”
The source also reported that the franchise’s official Twitter account released a short teaser of the film. The teaser features Katniss Everdeen standing on top of a giant statue of a hand making the symbol – “three-fingered gesture of solidarity between the Districts.” The District 12 gesture. It has now become part of their revolution and is the one that Katniss made as she honored the death of Rue in the first film.
You would see that the video ended with a line of text teasing “Stand By For A Message From District 13.” The source also added that the special message “will most likely be revealed at Comic-Con during their panel on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 12pm PDT.”
According to COMIC BOOK, Katniss Everdeen, the revolutionary leader, is looking fierce in the photo released online. The source also repeated that the image was also released as a full-size poster for the second part of the “Mockingjay,” the last film of the series.
“The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2″ is set to be released in the theaters in the U.S. on Nov. 20, 2015.
