The Last Ship” Season 1 Episode 10 “No Place Like Home” will air on Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014, at 9:00 p.m. on TNT. It’s the final episode of the season. What will the crew find when they finally reach home? Read on to learn a few details about the upcoming episode. But first, we have a short recap of the last one.

Previously in “Trials” (air date: Aug. 17, 2014), Dr. Scott (Rhona Mitra) performed vaccine trials on six brave volunteers from the USS Nathan James to see if it would work on humans. It was gruesome and risky, and Dr. Scott lost one patient in the process. She was, however, able to come up with an actual cure for the virus and not just a preventive treatment. This gave everyone all the hope they needed, as they can come home and help those who have been plagued with the sickness to get better.

Speaking of home, Capt. Chandler’s (Eric Dane) family is still alive, and fortunately, they’re not infected by the virus. His wife, however, may not be as lucky.  Because anarchy has existed since the epidemic, Chandler’s family have to be careful with their every move. His father has been trying to contact him on the ham radio.

Moreover, it was revealed that Lt. Kara Foster (Marissa Neitling) is pregnant. It was a good thing she survived the trials, much to the relief of Lt. Danny Green’s (Travis Van Winkle). Their baby will be born immune to the virus according to Dr. Scott.

Spoiler Alert: “The Last Ship” Season 1 Episode 10 “No Place Like Home” is scheduled to air on Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014, at 9:00 p.m. on TNT.

According to sTVPlus, the season finale will bring the crew back home, after months of being in the sea, not knowing the real conditions of their family. But when they get to D.C., they find that a warlord is taking his claim, making it impossible for a peaceful society to exist. There are power players who are fighting against him. The setting is utterly chaotic. Chandler looks for his family, but he also discovers that because of the plague, it’s a brand new and terrifying world they’re now living in.

The episode is written by Steve Kane and directed by Brad Turner.
