In a few days’ time, fans and audiences will be shipped away to a grim, yet action packed future, as the second season of  “The Last Ship” will be premiering on Sunday, June 21, 2015 at 9:00 PM on TNT. In line with this, Spoiler TV has released a featurette in which three of the actors of the show tell audiences and fans what to expect from the upcoming series, especially with regards to their characters. Read on to learn more about the upcoming second season, and regarding the new faces on board for the long haul on “The Last Ship”.

First off, according to the featurette, there will be two new faces come season two, and the first of them is actor Bren Foster, who will be portraying SCPO Wolf Taylor. According to the featurette on Spoiler TV, the show’s writers were pleasantly surprised to learn that Foster is a professional martial artist. Because of this, they were able to take this particular character, and make sure that he had more hand-to-hand combat sequences than most of the characters. Foster also related one of the most memorable experiences he had while filming the second season, which included having to climb up the side of the USN Solace.

The second new face on the ship is Lt. Ravit Bivas, who will be portrayed by actress Inbar Lavi. According to the featurette, Lt. Carlton Burk, portrayed by actor Jocko Sims, will immediately develop a very noticeable crush on Ravit.

Meanwhile, Travis van Winkle, who portrays Lt. Danny Green, related how he had so much filming the second season, especially as they had placed a GoPro on his gun, which allowed him to shoot scenes in which he just fired at will, which caused quite an adrenaline rush for him in between takes.

The men also mentioned that it feels pretty amazing to be part of a great apocalyptic story, that is produced by none other than Michael Bay, who excels at these kinds of things. They also mentioned that each of their characters does undergo a journey that allows them to prove themselves as heroes, as stories like this are wont to have.
