Somebody shows off his pink Speedo in the new episode of “The Millionaire Matchmaker” Season 8 Episode 3 “Ally Shapiro, Jill Zarin and Prince Ferdinand,” which aired last Jan. 1, 2015 at 9:30 p.m. on Bravo. In this episode, a young woman tries to break free from her mother’s “resume” and a prince who loves the color pink is struggling to date an American girl.
The episode kicks off with the 22-year-old New Yorker Ally Shapiro almost introducing herself when her mother, Jill Zarin, suddenly interrupts the interview to make sure her daughter’s shirt is not wrinkled. She was in “The Real Housewives of New York City” for four seasons. While she makes her introduction, Jill demands her to sit straight. Ally continues that it is hard to find a perfect match for her because she grew up in a reality show. However, she believes she has good morals. Jill interrupts again by praising her daughter for being so mature. Ally is going to say something about Patti when Jill interjects one more time.
After watching Ally through a monitor, Patti considers herself as Ally’s “auntie.” She promises to not mess up. In the car going to their meeting place, she shares that she has known Jill for seven years already. She remembers spending summer in the Hamptons with her. She is excited that Jill chose her to find a match for her daughter.
Ally shares that her mother is one of the original cast of “The Real Housewives of New York City.” She considers Patti to be her “second mom.” She wants somebody who is serious and trustworthy. She is also finding for a man who she can eventually settle down with.
In a bar with Jill and Patti, she tells Patti that she never had a long-term relationship yet. Patti asks her what kind of man Jill wants for her daughter. Jill tries to answer for her when Patti stops her. Ally says her mother wants a Jewish guy. Patti argues with Jill that not all Jewish men are great. She insists that Jill’s “bar” is so high that it is hard to find a match for her daughter. She tells Ally that she is not leading with her heart but with her “resume” because her mother is like a “pest.” She also says that Ally finds a match with her “cootch” while pointing at her crotch. Jill is disturbed by the word. Patti points out that the cootch just looks for sex and will not give her the right guy. She suggests standing in the middle of resume and cootch to find the perfect guy for her. While Patti is busy talking with Ally, Jill’s straw suddenly gets inside her nostril as she tried to take a sip.
Ally starts to enumerate her type of guy to Patti. She wants someone who is smart and loves to travel. Jill interrupts that she wants a “driven” guy. Patti stops her and tells her to go away. Jill kisses her daughter goodbye and says she wants to kill Patti if she does her job badly.
The next client of Patti is Prince Ferdinand von Anhalt from Germany. The 30-year-old prince confides that it is difficult to find a genuine woman with real love for him because he is a royalty.
“Please help me find my future wife,” he tells Patti in German.
Prince Ferdinand enters Patti’s office with “German flowers.” Patti thinks he looks ridiculous and asks if he really is a prince. He wants to have a wife already because he thinks he is in the right age. He shares that his father is a royalty and was married to Zsa Zsa Gabor. He makes money by being an attorney. Patti asks if he wears his prince outfit and medals during dates. He says he wants to show women that he is a prince. His last real relationship was two years ago.
Suddenly, Patti asks, “What do you want from me?”
While the prince hesitates to answer, Patti suddenly makes him choose if he wants boobs, butt or legs. Prince Ferdinand answers boobs. Patti just wanted to know if he is straight. When asked who his celebrity crush is, he answers Coco Austin. Everybody in the room is surprised. He says Coco has a big butt and nice breasts. Patti says Coco’s breasts are fake. Prince Ferdinand likes it fake. Patti asks if he has a certain reputation back in Germany.
“So what?” Prince Ferdinand asks casually.
Patti thinks American girls do not get the “whole prince thing.” She also thinks the prince looks gay — “really European.” Prince Ferdinand says he and his girlfriend broke up because she cheated on him. He thinks it was because he was always busy. He likes women who have more experience, especially with money. Patti suddenly brings up his father and Zsa Zsa. The prince laughs. He concludes that he loves sugar mommies. He thinks he does not have a girlfriend yet because of his royal background. Patti blames his royal suit and pink pants. Prince Fernando wants a normal woman. Patti insists Coco is not normal. She wants the prince to stop his “royal shit.” She needs to transform him into an American man. She takes his royal sash away from him and wears it. She also makes him practice speaking without having his thick German accent.
Going back to Ally, Patti’s plan is to make Ally look from afar while the team interviews men. Her plan for Prince Ferdinand is to hide his real identity and make him use the name Max. She wants him to be the tough guy type.
It is time for screening the right guy for Ally. Jill and Patti go around to interview men. Meanwhile, Ally is watching through a monitor. After that, Ally, Patti and Jill talk about potential matches. Ally cannot choose. Patti likes the screenwriter James because he has the brains. She also likes the Australian James because he loves to travel. Jill likes him for his positive energy. Patti scolds her for interrupting and confusing Ally. To make it easier for Ally, she asks her to close her eyes and imagine who she wants to be with for 24 hours.
Meanwhile, Prince Ferdinand is meeting the top four girls. He makes one woman stand up to show her body. Then he says she has nice shoes. Patti concludes that the prince loves the physical aspect more. Prince Ferdinand makes all girls stand up to show their body. Patti thinks the Prince just wants somebody to “motorboat” him. She interrupts their conversation and tells the girls she is finding for someone who can turn the prince into a man. After Patti left, the women teach the prince some lessons on how to be manly. Patti returns to send the ladies away for a while and ask Prince Ferdinand who he wants.
Ally waits for her date at Wildlife Learning Center because she loves animals. James the screenwriter arrives. They start to see and touch exotic animals up close.
Meanwhile, Emily is waiting for Prince Ferdinand on a beach when the prince suddenly emerges from the water with a pink speedo. She thinks his speedo is hilarious. He says that Patti hates the color. He becomes overconfident despite saying he has no six-pack. Emily says she loves yoga, so she teaches the prince some poses.
Prince Ferdinand arranged a boat ride for Emily. During the ride, he suddenly tells Emily to look back for 30 seconds and stands up to get something. Emily is bothered with the metallic sounds because she was thinking her date was taking his belt off to show his pink speedo again. Turns out, Prince Ferdinand puts his royal sash, medals and pins. When Emily saw him, she does not care much that he is a prince. He feels “aweful” about it. While swimming near the boat, Emily tells the prince that she does not kiss in a first date.
In the office, Patti calls James to check his date with Ally. She really likes to hear that they already had their second date. However, she feels it is such a waste that Ally did not kiss him. James still wants to hang out with Ally. Patti calls Ally through a video chat. She can see that Ally is happy with James. Ally also shares that James calls her every day. Patti reminds her that it is okay to kiss but nothing more than that.
Patti calls Emily for an update. Emily says she has so much fun despite Prince Ferdinand showing his pink Speedo. She also admits not kissing the prince. Patti thinks she is too old-fashioned. Emily tells her that if the prince looks rugged, she will go out with him again. After a few minutes, Prince Ferdinand enters the office. Patti scolds him for wearing a pink Speedo. Then she asks him if he is circumcised. He answers yes. Patti sends him home to practice masculinity.
In the end, Prince Ferdinand did not call Emily again. The relationship continues with James and Ally. James is planning to visit Ally in New York City.
