Toyota Prius, with Google’s driverless technology called Google Chauffeur, has set a trend in the automobile world after getting the license and being the first autonomous car in the US. Tesla Motors also highlighted the same concept with their autopilot technology. Today, more automobile companies have considered making their own version of self-driving cars to address the issue of ever-growing number of reckless drivers on the road.
The 2015 Consumer Electronics Show made a buzz when Dieter Zetsche, Chief Executive of Mercedes, unveiled the Mercedes-Benz F 015, their self-driving research car. Other companies like BMW, Toyota and Audi also presented their self-driving concept cars in the trade show.
“The Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon discussed the self-driving car debate in a funny and satirical way with his “Pros and Cons: Having a Self-Driving Car” episode following the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show highlights.

Like every newly introduced technology, the self-driving car, with no stirring wheel and pedals, has been the center of debate in many countries. While others were excited about the concept, most Brits thought that seeing a car driving on its own is horrifying, as reported by the Independent UK. Whether we like it or not, autonomous cars will soon be an ordinary thing, so let’s just enjoy driving our cars while we still can.
