NBC’s “The Mysteries of Laura” is currently on its winter break but just recently, the show has just added a new series regular that will definitely create more excitement and interest in the coming episode of the show. Read below for the full details.

According to FashionnStyle, Meg Steedle (“Boardwalk Empire”) has just been cast as a young detective who has a very mysterious past. Her role would be as  Francesca “Frankie” Pulaski." She was originally assigned to work in the headquarters because of her detective exam results, which was very high. Unfortunately, the assignment that was given to her wasn’t that exciting for her so she was reassigned to 2nd precinct.

A young addition to the bolster of detectives at Laura’s precinct, she’s going to be a great addition to the group and will bring her with her so much optimism that will make her co-workers assume that she’s naïve but in reality, she’s hiding a deep dark secrets that might just ruin her façade of happiness.

In all seriousness of a detective’s work, it’s nice to see a touch of youth and naïvety on the show that will be injected by the show’s new character. I think that Steedle’s presence on the show will even make it worth watching even more.

Fans will get to see Frankie in Episode 15 and will be a series regular from then on.

“The Mysteries of Laura” returns on Jan. 7, 2015.
