Mother’s love dominates the new episode of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” Season 5 Episode 9 “Live and Learn,” which aired last Jan. 13, 2015 at 9:00 p.m. on Bravo. Read on to learn more about this episode.

The episode kicks off with Lisa Vanderpump whining about being exhausted. She calls Max and tells him about her sentiments. She reminds him to work harder. He says he wants to, that is why he is working at Sur after skipping college. He admits to her mother that he wants to be as successful as the rest of the family. Lisa decides to talk to with him tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Kyle is with her family to send Alexia to college. It pains her to see her daughter go. She admits not wanting to see Alexia “spread her wings and fly.” When the family arrived in Tucson, they head straight to the University of Arizona. Mauricio complains about the hot weather. Kyle’s paranoia led her to follow Tucson police’s account on Twitter to monitor the news.

Talking about saying goodbye to daughters, Yolanda is in New York City to help Bella settle there. Like Kyle, she finds it difficult to send Bella to college.

While some housewives are having a moment with their growing kids, Brandi is having a tough moment with her lawyer Ron back in Los Angeles. She is bothered by Eddie’s letter. Ron explains that Eddie is asking for a refund because he believes that he overpaid his support payments after the divorce. Brandi is appalled with the $114,000 refund Eddie is asking. She insists going to court, but Ron says it is more expensive than the refund. She cannot believe Eddie demanding for money because he just got a new TV show. However, Ron comforts her that she has a stronger position and can make a deal with Eddie’s lawyer. Brandi agrees wholeheartedly because she is stressed having a conflict with Eddie again.

Back to New York, Yolanda shares about her hardships in finding a good apartment for Bella. She was supposed to return and choose from the two apartments she liked, but it is too late. She decided to pay for Bella’s overall expenses because she wants her to focus in school. However, she cannot wait for the kids to make a living. She shares about being an independent girl because she grew up without support. While evaluating Bella’s new room, she insists changing the couch. Her decorator does not even flinch when he agrees.

Kyle mentions that Alexia is still waitlisted for a dorm room. She wants her to live in the campus to have a social life. While the couple is talking, Mauricio still wants to have Alexia at home. Kyle thinks she will go crazy when Portia grows up and goes to college as well. She jokes about making another baby, but Mauricio thinks they already have enough.

Lisa Rinna calls Harry who is on set. Rinna shares about her love for acting. While heading to the set, she is making vocal exercises in the car. Then she meets the director Adam in the set of “Director’s Cut.” She also talks to the writer Penn Jillette. Harry will be the star of the movie. The exciting part is Rinna will act alongside Harry. She will have no script because she will play herself.

In Bella’s new apartment, Yolanda’s daughter is very pleased. Then she gives a card to Yolanda about her apology and wanting her mother’s trust back. Yolanda comforts Bella that one mistake does not define her. She says that she will read the card everytime she misses her daughter. She even tells Bella that she is already 50 years old yet still makes mistakes.

At Brandi’s house, Mark, Jennifer, Peter and Kim arrive for a viewing party. The show of Eddie and LeAnn will premiere. Brandi wants to watch to make sure that her kids are not in the show. She says she cannot understand Eddie and LeAnn’s side of the story because they are cheaters. On the other hand, Kim says she will never want to watch her ex on TV.

During the show, Brandi considers herself as a character in it because she is always mentioned. She wants to get paid for it. She thinks it is a show to bash her and use her children to promote it. However, she changes her mind about the show’s effect. She thinks she will earn more child support from Eddie. After the show, everyone dislikes it and agrees that it is indeed about Brandi. Brandi puts a confident face and says the show needs a star anyway.

Meanwhile, it is Ken and Lisa’s 32nd anniversary. Ken bought roses and wants some romance. Roses are everywhere.  Lisa tells him that Max is coming. She says that Max started to wash their dishes to learn the business from the very bottom. Max arrives and wishes his parents a happy anniversary. The parents notice his new car. Max says his girlfriend Allison owns it. Lisa reminds him that they were the ones who fed him and gave him shelter. Her son also reminds her that he did not have electricity for several months. His mother tells him that it is a kind of motivation to work.

Talking about parental problems in a positive note, Kyle and Mauricio feel the need to set a new bank account with money for Alexia. Mauricio thinks his daughter only needs $15 each meal. On the other hand, Kyle does not know how to decide. Her husband concludes that $1,800 per month is more than enough.

Rinna receives a call from “Stella & Dot” director Ali. Rinna tells Ali that she wants to host a party for a cause, specifically breast cancer. She shares about her mother and sister being breast cancer survivors. She is inspired by Ali’s event for Holly Robinson Peete. She plans to invite a maximum of 40 people.

Eileen also has motherly emotions coming through as she helps Duke pack his things for his last year in college. She is proud to have his stepsons living a better life than Vince and her when they were younger. Vince wants to see Duke going to graduate school in London. Suddenly, Jesse enters the room and says goodbye to his older brother. Eileen remembers that Jesse is also growing up. She dreads watching more of her kids leave.

It is time for Kyle and Mauricio to let go of Alexia. Kyle cannot stop crying. Mauricio hugs her and cries as well.
