“The Slap” will air on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015, at 8:00 p.m. on NBC. Spoiler TV has recently released the newest promotional video of one of NBC’s newest shows for the winter, which will only feature eight episodes. Read on to learn more about the upcoming show.

According to Spoiler TV, the promotional clip gave viewers a preview of what to expect in the series. The clip teases that even “in the most normal of families, one act can change everything.” The clip also shows Harry (Zachary Quinto), toasting to his cousin, Hector (Peter Saarsgard), and proclaiming him as the “last good man in America.”

The rest of the clip shows that even their family, even if it was an exemplary one, is not spared of troubles, as it shown that Hector is not as good as he seems to be, as he is carrying out an extra marital affair and is currently fighting with his wife. It also shows how everything is set in motion. In the midst of all of the family troubles, Harry slaps a little boy after losing his patience and temper.

“The Slap” tells the story of how a family is torn apart after Harry (Zachary Quinto), who has quite a temper, slaps someone else’s child. As the entire family becomes embroiled in a vicious lawsuit, family secrets and personal secrets become exposed, further tearing the family apart. As this goes on, it challenges everyone and rocks the family’s values to the core.

The show is based on an Australian mini-series of the same name which ran in 2011, which was based on a novel with the same name, written by Christos Tsiolkas. The Australian mini-series starred Jonathan La Paglia and Sophie Okonedo and told about what happened to a group of family and friends after a particular incident occurred.

“The Slap” currently stars Peter Saarsgard, Uma Thurman, Thandie Newton, Zachary Quinto, Melissa George, Mackenzie Leigh and Brian Cox.

And that was all for the new promotional video clip and preview of “The Slap.” For more news and updates, including spoilers and recaps, on “The Slap” and other television shows, keep following Movie News Guide (MNG).
