“The Vampire Diaries” featured another heart-wrenching episode in Season 6 Episode 5 “The World Has Turned and Left Me Here." Stefan gave an emotional speech at his brother's crypt. To his surprise, Damon came back. Read on for the full recap.

Stefan was left with Ivy, but he has other plans that he wish to pursue. He simply can’t be bothered to take care of a newborn vampire. He brought Ivy to the dorm and had Caroline babysit her and left. Caroline was hesitant to take care of a newbie, but she was left with no choice because Stefan dropped her like a hot potato.

The two women talked until Ivy snapped Caroline’s neck so she could roam free and feed from other people. However, Ivy forgot to compel all the students that she has bitten.

Damon and Bonnie thought that they have tricked Kai. When they were almost on their way to get back to the other side, Kai shot an arrow at Bonnie. It turned out that Kai can’t be killed. Damon was able to go through, leaving Bonnie and Kai behind.

Elena, on the other hand, was trying a shot at finally living a normal life. The two went out together to the school function, and Elena kissed him.

The corn maze got all messed up when Tyler ran over someone and hit almost everyone. If someone dies, Tyler’s werewolf gene will be triggered, and he will turn again. Luckily, Elena and Liam were there to help save the injured students.

We saw Stefan at the crypt talking to Damon and telling him about how he feels lost. Then Damon suddenly appeared. Stefan started crying while hugging his brother. What will happen now that Damon’s back?
