Elena’s (Nina Dobrev) absence next season on “The Vampire Diaries” will surely be felt but the team behind the series has already planned some new characters that will bring more thrill and excitement to the show. Read below for the full details:

Three new characters will shake things up in Mystic Falls and two of these characters seem to be the most interesting: two lesbian vampires named Nora and Mary Louise. Tre probably both gorgeous and youthful as both are in their mid-20s. However, their relationship is a secret for over a century already but that doesn’t mean that these two ladies won’t be as lethal as they could get.

There will be another lady vampire in her mid-20s to join the mix, Valerie. She seems to have a very troubled past and mask it through her dry sense of humor. We’re guessing a lot of sarcasm and probably a perfect match for Damon’s. She will also meet someone special in Mystic Falls who will bring out her free-spirit.

“He now has more freedom to kind of be messy with his choices. I think you’ll see a darker Damon with the sort of wisdom of his experience, but a freedom to act out as he may feel like he needs to.” Plec said in a statement posted on Just Jared.

I’m pretty sure Damon will have her hands full what with the addition of these new set of characters who will make life even more interesting in Mystic Falls. Before we know it, Elena’s absence may be somehow overlooked as we go deeper into Season 7.

What do you think of these new characters? How do you think they will fit in? Let us know by posting your comments below!
