“The Voice” Season 7 has not even started yet, but there is already a rush of music sensations going around. With Pharell Williams and Gwen Stefani replacing Usher and Shakira this season as the show’s coaches, a new mentor is coming. Read further to find out who.
Grammy Award winner Alicia Keys is set to join “The Voice” Season 7 and share her talents to the contestants as one of the mentors. She will be joining Pharell’s team. While Pharell got Keys his mentor, Gwen has her husband, Gavin Rossdale, to be her mentor. Adam Levine, who remains to be one of the coaches this season, got Steve Nicks. Moreover, Blake Shelton, a returning coach as well, got the band Little Big Town.
Williams and Keys are still getting the hang of the show, but this will not be difficult for them because they have already worked together in the past. In fact, they just had a recent collaboration, a duet in Pharell’s album, “Girl,” entitled “Know Who You Are.”
Keys is definitely one of the best mentors for the show, with her musical background and her 16 Grammys under her belt. Contestants would be so lucky to be taught by Keys and Williams. This also goes to the three other coaches who have picked amazing mentors for their teams as well.
Keys expressed on Twitter her excitement on being part of the show. Williams also shared his enthusiasm regarding his mentor via Twitter.
