The X-Files Season 11 is expected to depict the fate of Dana Scully. Season 10 of the series ended with a cliffhanger earlier this year. But would Season 11 really happen?
The X-Files: I Want to Believe (2008) reportedly could not meet the expectations of many fans of Mulder and Scully. But no doubt, The X-Files Season 11 has been a hit season.
Reports claim that to watch the two-night premiere, almost 50 million people turned on their TVs. Season 10 comprised of a total of 6 episodes and it can be said without any doubt that it has not disappointed the viewers at all. So, it would not be wrong to expect The X-Files Season 11 to arrive soon.
Lately, cast members David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson entertained some questions of the fans. One of the fans inquired that where the Scully and Mulder relationship will be headed to especially if they tie the nuptial knot.
The X-Files actress Anderson, who plays FBI Special Agent Dana Scully, indicated that they would not get married. She said that they do not have to take the marriage vows. She added that the fans do not really want them to get married and there are other things that the two can do.
The actors did not give any satisfying answer when grilled to know if The X-Files Season 11 is happening or not. One of the fans asked them that would any one of them will be directing future episodes. To this, Gillian Anderson did not provide a straight answer. It seems the cast of the series is lately not in a position to confirm anything. But the actors also did not say that the new season will not come, reports Hofmag.
Since the ratings of Season 10 were good, The X-Files Season 11 should happen. It has been reported that Anderson has also joined the cast of American Gods, the upcoming TV series on Starz. She would play the part of Media in the show.
