It has been months since “Insurgent” hit the theaters, but fans of the films and those of Veronica Roth’s “Divergent” book series are already eager to learn about what will be in store for Tobias “Four” Eaton (Theo James) and Beatrice “Tris” Prior (Shailene Woodley), in the two part final installment of “Divergent: Allegiant.”

“Divergent: Allegiant” movie is still a year away from its release in theatres, but fans are already excited to hear news and updates about their well-loved characters, Tris and Four.
Before “Insurgent” came out, SugarScape had an exclusive interview with actor Theo James, who plays the role of Four. The 30-year-old actor jokingly teased the audience about what might happen in the final installment titled, “Allegiant.”
James talked about how he had been a big fan of his co-star and highly acclaimed model Naomi Watts, who portrayed his mother in the film, and his character’s relationship with Beatrice “Tris” Prior, portrayed by Shailene Woodley.
The “Underworld” actor then joked and told the outlet that Tris and Four were going to have twins named “Bertie and Bernadette”, but aside from that, James did not hint at anything else with regards to the upcoming “Allegiant” movie.
Vulture, however, managed to sit down with “Divergent” series author Veronica Roth, who mentioned that she had been alright with all the changes that the filmmakers did with the translation of her second book, “Insurgent,” as she knew that those things were needed.
After being asked as to what point in the story of “Allegiant” she would want them to “split” the story up to make a two-part movie, she mentioned that the book does have two distinct arcs – one that deals with the aftermath of the previous book, and the other deals with how the characters will handle things once they leave the city itself. She then compared the feeling of being a huge fan of the “Harry Potter” books, and likened her initial reaction with the final movie being cut into two.
With regards to the fact that there is an ongoing petition among fans who are hoping for a happier, different ending to “Divergent: Allegiant,” Roth mentioned that she has always known that Tris was going to die, and mentioned that even Woodley understood the importance of her character’s death. Roth, however, doesn’t believe that the film makers will cater to the fans’ petition for them to do so.
What do you think of Theo James’ fake spoilers? Would you want an alternate ending for Tris and Four, or do you prefer the ending as it was in the book? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
