“Thor: Ragnarok,” which is the gateway to “Avengers: Infinity War,” will see the Gods facing a threat that could end up becoming the reason for their world’s destruction. The movie is said to have a lot of interwoven elements that will help fans connect the movie to other movies within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There have been rumors about what Thor, Loki or Heimdall will be doing in the movie, however there’s one other important character that will be crucial in the movie. Jaimie Alexander’s Lady Sif is said to have a pivotal character in the movie and the actress herself gave a little clue about her role in the upcoming movie.
According to Venture Capital Post, Jaimie Alexander who portrays the role of Lady Sif in “Thor” movies admitted that probably because of the reason that she is not good at keeping secrets, Marvel Studios has kept her in the dark about the future of her role. However she stated that her character is going to play a pivotal part in the upcoming movie, since she has been a loyal and trustworthy confidante of the God of Thunder. She also added that “Thor: Ragnarok” will be somehow connected to other projects that Marvel Studios is currently running. Other projects that are currently running include “Captain America: Civil War,” “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D” and “Avengers: Infinity War.” There were also reports about a female Thor being introduced in “Thor: Ragnarok”, so if the makers are indeed thinking of adapting the female Thor storyline, then Lady Sif could prove to be worthy for wielding the Mjolnir. The first and popular choice however remains to be Thor’s love interest Jane Foster who has also had a crucial role in “Thor” movies and was recently revealed to be the Female Thor in the comic books.
Given the warrior background of Lady Sif, she could also pull off the afore mentioned role or could continue to support Thor in the upcoming apocalyptic battle that could potentially wipe out Asgard. Maybe her pivotal part in the upcoming movie might come in the form of her sacrifice for Asgard or surviving the Ragnarok and appearing in the two parter “Avengers: Infinity War.” “Thor: Ragnarok” will release on November 3rd, 2017.
