On September 2014, Movie News Guide reported that a live-action series entitled “Titans,” which will be based on the DC Comics’ “Teen Titans” series will be coming to the television screen, thanks to TNT. According to an exclusive report on Nerdist News, viewers and fans now know who to expect on the team’s roster as they were able to get the exclusive details as well as a glimpse at the very first draft of the pilot script. Read on to learn more about the “Titans” new team members on the upcoming series “Titans” on TNT.

According to an exclusive report on Nerdist News, fans and viewers of the “Teen Titans” team will no longer have to speculate as to who will make up the team’s live-action roster as they were able to learn the details and get a glimpse of the pilot episode’s script.

First up is the Titans team leader, Robin — the iconic Dick Grayson — who will be featured during the pilot. In this series, Grayson will no longer be with his long-time partner, Batman, but will be a detective in the real live city of Boston. Later on in the series, he will be discarding his “Robin” persona in order to become “Nightwing.”

Hawk and Dove will also be set to appear. In this series, their alter egos will be Hank Hall and Dawn Granger, respectively, and according to the report, their relationship with each other will be a romantic one. However, for those who are already fans of this pair in the comics, the exclusive report also mentioned that the pair will be very different from their comic book counterparts.

Another familiar face in the line-up is the powerful empath and psychic, Raven, who, according to the official website of DC Comics, is the daughter of the demon named Trigon. In this version, Raven’s alter ego will be Rachel Roth, which is based on the name that writer Geoff Johns gave her. However, she will only be seen at the end of the pilot episode.

Also joining and appearing at the end of the pilot episode with Raven is the alien Princess Koriand’r, who is also known as Starfire. According to the report, although she appears towards the end of the episode, the series will be capitalizing on her relationship with Dick Grayson, which will end up in some sort of love triangle with another team member also known to be romantically linked with him — Barbara Gordon.

Barbara Gordon, who is also known as Batgirl, will also be featured in this series, despite the fact that she has never been an actual member of the “Teen Titans” team. Here, she is bound to her wheelchair and is the team’s resident hacker and technical genius. According to the report, this characterization of Batgirl is similar to the time when Barbara was known as the Oracle in the comics. However, she isn’t referred to as that in the pilot’s script.

Lastly, viewers and fans might wonder that two usual members of the “Teen Titans” crew are not included in the roster — Cyborg and Beast Boy. As of the pilot episode, they have not been mentioned at all, but they may be introduced in the series later on.

What do you think of the new “Titans” crew? How about of the surprising addition of Barbara Gordon to the team? Who would you want to be playing the characters of Dick Grayson, Starfire, Raven, Hawk and Dove? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
