Afraid that you are missing out on your latest celebrity scoop? Checking your phone every five minutes for Diddy’s latest pix? Are the lack of updates from Kim Kardashian making you nervous and twitchy? Fret now, because Movie News Guide is bringing to you a helpful compendium of the latest social media buzz from your latest celebrities, in a new section we like to call, “Today On Instagram.”
Today on Instagram, Kim Kardashian took her next step to total world domination, hitting the fifty-million followers mark. She commemorated the event the same way the Kardashian’s commemorate anything: with a selfie (NOTE: Kanye looks like he has had enough of this tomfoolery)
Also today, the artist formerly known as Prince has made a return to social media,. It was after his 2010 announcement that “the internet is over.” It seems like the internet has survived, and Prince is back with an Instagram account, known (both formerly and currently) as PRINCESTAGRAM.
Here are a couple of his greatest photographic hits:
Meanwhile, Katy Perry has come out very strongly in support for Hillary Clinton for president on her birthday. For Perry, Clinton is all about empowering women and their choices, and she supporting her to the hilt, in this longish post that has entirely too many instances of the word ‘empowered.’
The Rock remains a rock, and used his Instagram account to announce that San Andreas has now become the biggest Warner Bros movie in 2015. We know better than to paraphrase the rock, so we will just quote him on this one:
“Just a movie about a man who will do anything to protect his family from the biggest earthquake of all time. While operating a helicopter, small plane, pick up truck, parachute, speed boat and a tricycle while trying to look unafraid and cool”
What a ride! Thank you guys… Just found out SAN ANDREAS has officially become Warner Bros biggest movie of 2015 and one of the biggest in Hollywood all year ($475 million in global box office). We were the underdog movie of the summer – not a big franchise like Fast and Furious or Avengers, nor based off a successful book or theme park. Just a movie about a man who will do anything to protect his family from the biggest earthquake of all time. While operating a helicopter, small plane, pick up truck, parachute, speed boat and a tricycle while trying to look unafraid and cool🤓. Cool points and jokes aside, SAN ANDREAS was a worldwide success because of you – the best damn fans in the world. Appreciate U! 🙏🏾👊🏾 #SanAndreas #LAFD #WarnerBrosBiggestMovieOf2015 #IMightRideAUnicycleInTheSequel
And our bonus post in “Today on Instagram” features Slash who wore a plastic over his head. Has he gone completely bananas?
