Earlier on Movie News Guide (MNG), it was teased that two new characters will be heading their way towards the twelfth precinct and will be featured in the eighth season of ABC’s crime drama procedural, “Castle.” According to TV Line and Deadline, one of those two characters has already been found in the person of actress Toks Olagundoye. Movie News Guide, in an earlier report, teased that two new characters will be featured in the upcoming eighth season, which included a former cop turned security specialist, who, according to TV Line and Deadline, will be portrayed by actress Toks Olagundoye.
According to TV Line, the actress will be portraying the role of Hayley Vargas. She is a free-spirited former police officer from Scotland Yard turned security specialist. Hayley isn’t afraid of doing what she needs to do in order to get the job done.
Olagundoye, who will be a series regular for the season, will debut this new character in the season premiere on Sept. 21, 2015, at 10:00 PM on ABC, which will be a two-parter episode.
The actress has appeared in various projects prior to joining “Castle,” such as “The Fosters,” “The Neighbors,” “Prime Suspect,” “Switched at Birth,” “NICS” and “Law & Order.”.
An actor, however, has not been found yet for another new character, who according to Movie News Guide, will be a technical analyst, much like Tory Ellis, who is being portrayed by “Castle” and “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” actress Maya Stojan.
